Catching up, Collaboration offer, and FEATURES!!

SCRIBBLINGS

 Hello Everyone!
I have been very busy the last couple of weeks, and I'm playing some serious "catch-up" with messages and favs (what else is new? :slow: )
I know, I know, I always seem to be behind!
I did manage to get my entry into the Wacom "Good vs. Evil" contest. I don't think I'll win, but I enjoyed working on it, and it really challenged me, so I'm happy I did it.
There are some fantastic and imaginative entries and I featured a few in my 'Sparkles' box below. ;-)
I'm continuing on with my practice of having several works going at once. I'm making progress, even though it is slow. Sometimes I feel like I need YEARS to catch up on my digital painting skills, and art in general....I get very intimidated when I see some of the amazing work on here sometimes. I'm holding steady to my path of experimentation, though. I am pushing myself to try new things and new techniques.
One of the things I would like to try and do is rely less on having to have a reference to paint/draw. I am so amazed by people who can do amazing sketches and art without those references...I can't do as well.
In my personal life I am trying to make some career decisions. The job I have now requires a lot of my time due to the huge commute. I like the job, mainly because of the people I work closely with, but it is not totally satifying, and it eats up a lot of time due to the fact that I spend almost 3 hours a day on the road to and from it.
There are things that I miss out on and feel I should have more time to do. I feel I am missing out on spending more time with my family. I know I need to exercise more, and I miss riding my horse and spending the time I used to out of doors and gardening. My current schedule just doesn't allow for much of that....what little time I carve out for me, gets spent on Art, which is wonderful, but, I would like to have more freedom in my schedule....soooo....I am thinking of going back to school and pursuing a Master's degree and maybe teaching at the Community College level. It's something I'm thinking about and getting more information on...to see if it is viable for me to do that.

In other news, I am offering up a Collaboration chance! :excited: Read more about it here: [link]
I'd love for any of you to try your hand at it! I think it would be very fun!!

Here's my current list of projects currently in the works:
1. Book cover design idea 2 for :iconmaeix2: (1/4 done)
2. Another Mucha inspired piece for a 2010 Calendar, it's also surprised dedication ;-)(1/3 done)
3. Good vs. Evil Wacom entry Done!
4. Custom work as Art Trade for :icondaisy-june: Done!
5. Dragonflyed (In Collaboration Now!)
6. Web Site design for :icongoldensalamander: (in the tweaking stage! almost done!)
7. Untitled piece inspired by stock from :icontracie76stock: (just started!)
8. Koi Mermaid (For :iconjoeyv7:) no pornographic monstertrucks doing math involved at all  (1/4 done)
9. Moonlit Garden (digital painting fantasy piece) (1/2 done)
10. Chasing Dreams (digital painting piece) (just started)

Am I ADD or WHAT? :slow:

IMPORTANT!!! UPDATE
We are all glad to hear that Sean is doing well with his treatments!! See :iconcolt51:'s journal.
If you haven't read about this, please do, and help if you can!!
Some of you may know that :iconcolt51:'s son was recently diagnosed with cancer called Adult AML. Some lovely folks on here :icontam2u: and :iconnitchwarmer: have started a Chip-In account to help raise money to cover his treatments. You can read more about it by clicking on this thumbnail:
Colsen is a wonderful giving part of the dA community with a kind word and encouragement to all he interacts with. If you can only give a dollar, please do so! Every little bit helps and can add up to a great deal.

I would like to thank all of you in advance for your favs, kind comments, and general support of me and my art! You are all wonderful!! :iconbwavoplz: I appreciate them all! What I'm trying to do is spend more time visiting your pages and commenting and faving your work than saying 'Thank You'. It also gives me more time to work on my own stuff.
Love and the usual 's and :kiss:es!!!
Lee Anne
