Dragonflies dream of starry things...

I do so love dragonflies...and stars! :giggle:

This piece was inspired by the beautiful stock photo by :iconarmathor-stock:. If you have not looked at their stock I advise you to do so! Their work is beautifully lit and posed and makes it really easy to work with for those of us who use it!
:iconcausticstock: always has just the wonderful, old buildings with the right character for these kinds of Photo-manips!
I found a wonderful London Skyline with Big Ben in :icondanheffer-stock:'s account, and :iconlonesome-stock: had the perfect dragonfly! The other lovely stock pieces I found that made this image complete are as follows:
Koi Carp Fish by :iconfantasystock:
Singa the enigmatic Black Cat by :iconneyjour-stock:
Tree Frog the little prince by :iconturtledove-stock:
The lovely clouds taken by stock from :iconzoestock:

Thank you, all Artists who have provided Stock! Without you dA would be without a great many wonderful pieces of Art!!

I hope you like it!!

It's gorgeous...and such a mood that's in it too. :w00t:
the only thing that distracts from the overall perfectednes of the piece is the style of the star the dragonfly i holding...but otherwise it looks great!

Gabriel: I'm a sensitive snake.
Dr Eliza JS: Do you believe it's OK to be a sensitive snake?
Gabriel: Why, yes I rather do. Would you prefer if I was homicidal megalomaniac like my first children?
You think? What type of star do you think should have gone? I usually use a solid...but I wanted to try something different here....

I think it's the hard edges to it that does it...so something that's softer and doesn't contrast so strongly with the remained of the pic...unless that was the effect you were aiming for.

OOoo I really like what you have done here :) I thought at first you had just used one of my stone textures then I noticed that it was the wall from Guisborough Abbey :) also like the idea with the London sky line .. I got a few pictures of roof lines and the like to provide stock for pics like this but could never get pics I actually liked or thought worked well enough .. will need to try again :) Awesome lil dev ... thanks for the stock usage
